A Leakage Notice is a legal document issued by the water companies when there is a known private leak, under section 75 Water Industry Act 1991, the water company will require the works to be completed within a set time period (usually 7 – 30 days) otherwise recover of expenses will commence. This could mean an eye watering invoice for water that has been lost.
